This research will concentrate on providing information and analyses
for teachers, trainers, practitioners, legislators and public sector
officials. Specifically it will
• Examine the underlying ethical philosophy of whistleblowing
and the reasons behind its widespread condemnation
• Identify whistleblower protection legislation in each of
the states of Australia, and compare with best international legislation,
• Identify best practices for internal whistleblowing systems,
• Examine options in private sector whistleblowing protection
systems.
• Analyse options on legislation similar to the US False
Claims Act
• Provide supporting information for teachers, trainers administrators
and for whistleblowers themselves
