This component has two interlinked and ongoing activities: (i)
a research program on core content and teaching approaches, and
(ii) an information and teaching materials exchange program. Contributions
from participants in either category are welcome
Three research programs are currently under development or proposed:
1. A questionnaire and exchange program on content of ethics teaching
programs is under way. All teachers of ethics programs are invited
to join. The objective is to exchange information and to determine
the content ethics teachers consider important. Any teacher of ethics
who is willing to submit his/her course content and/or complete
a questionnaire should contact The
Coordinator . All responses are confidential.
2. Members of the network have initiated a research program into
the teaching of ethics in Civil Engineering. A paper outlining the
concepts behind the research, believed to apply to all disciplines,
is available from The
Coordinator.
3. Contacts for collaboration on proposed research into Codes of
Ethics in the Information Technology industry are proposed in the
discussion area,
This site is seeking to make Australian ethics case problems and
teaching materials more widely available, To submit case problems
or materials, or to determine what is available, contact The
Coordinator .
